What the feed says this week
We pull cheapest-found fares for every NYC-area departure to Las Vegas through our partner data feed and re-cut them each week. This edition was pulled September 28, 2026. The headline: October is genuinely cheap — nonstops from $156 — and the floor holds through mid-November until the holiday wall.
| Window | Nights | Cheapest nonstop found | Cheapest with a stop | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 10–13 | 3 (Sat–Tue) | $166 — JFK, American | $166 (same fare wins) | Indigenous Peoples' Day weekend; Saturday hotel night is the pricey one |
| Oct 20–23 | 3 (Tue–Fri) | $170 — JFK, JetBlue | $158 — EWR, 1 stop | All-midweek hotel nights — the cheapest total weekends on the board |
| Oct 27–29 | 2–3 (Tue–Thu) | $156 — EWR, United | $117 — LGA, 1 stop | Best nonstop of the month; LGA's $117 costs 2+ hours each way |
| Nov 7–9 | 3 (Sat–Mon) | $180 — JFK, JetBlue | $150 — EWR, 1 stop | Solid, not spectacular |
| Nov 17–18 | 2–3 (Tue–Thu) | $171 — JFK, JetBlue | $128 — LGA, 1 stop | F1 race is Sat Nov 21 — works only if you're home before the spike |
Avoid, per the same pull: F1 week (Nov 19–21) — no cheap nonstop inventory showing at all; Thanksgiving week (Nov 24–30) — nonstops jump to $228–247; late-December holidays — $225+ and climbing.
Method: cheapest one-way fare per date across EWR/JFK/LGA via the Aviasales partner data feed, retrieved 2026-09-28, nonstop and one-stop pull-downs compared. Fares move daily and cheapest-found prices are entry-level fare buckets — confirm the real total for your dates before treating anything as bookable. LGA prices always include a stop (no LGA–LAS nonstops exist).
Why October is the value stretch
Two things stack in October this year. First, the corridor's fare data has a persistent seasonal shape: third-quarter averages are the cheapest of the year (2025 Q3 averaged $274 one-way from EWR and $282 from JFK, per DOT Table 1a), and the softness bleeds into early October before the convention season tightens it back up. Second, Vegas hotel demand runs Sunday–Thursday-light through the fall convention calendar's gaps — so an October midweek window stacks a cheap flight on a cheap room.
That's also why the Oct 20–23 window is our pick of the month: every hotel night is midweek, and the nonstop floor is $170. Add the Strip's resort fees and a realistic tab for two, three nights mid-tier, still lands well under the Friday–Sunday version of the same trip a week later.
The three rules that make any window cheaper
- Shift the weekend to Thursday–Monday. Friday and Sunday are this route's peak flight days and Friday/Saturday are Vegas's peak hotel nights. Thursday–Monday usually wins on both halves at once — our last-minute playbook breaks down the math.
- Price both airports — and check the stops column. Three airlines compete on JFK nonstops, United owns Newark, and LGA plays only on one-stops. The winner flips week to week; the airport comparison explains the full trade-off (including which one is actually faster from your front door).
- Anchor the hotel to total price. A "$99" Strip room is rarely $99 after the resort fee. Compare totals across partners, not headlines — our weekly Strip rate tracker shows what "good" currently looks like per resort.
Booking-window check
For these October windows you're booking 3–5 weeks out — inside the reasonable zone. For November windows, book now rather than later: holiday demand only compounds. If you're hunting further out (Thanksgiving, NYE, F1 2027), the cheapest-time-to-fly guide has the full seasonal breakdown and when to commit.

About this roundup
This is the corridor's weekly deals page: updated in place on the same URL, every table dated, anything older than 60 days archived. It exists because "vegas deals" pages that never change are how travelers get played — a real deal is a number you can book today, with a date on it. For the national picture (deals from anywhere, not just NYC), the monthly edition runs in the deals category. Want it by email? The Vegas Price Drop sends three real price moves a week.

Frequently asked questions
Are these getaway prices round trip?
No — every number in the table is the cheapest one-way fare our partner feed found for that date, pulled on the date shown. A round trip roughly doubles it, and the cheapest outbound and return dates rarely match. Use the price calendar to price your exact dates both ways.
Why does LaGuardia sometimes show the cheapest fare?
LGA has no Las Vegas nonstops (the perimeter rule rules it out), so its prices are one-stop itineraries. They can be $30–50 under the nonstops — whether that's worth 2+ extra hours each way is your call. EWR and JFK both have nonstops (United from Newark; American, Delta and JetBlue from JFK).
Is Thanksgiving week ever cheap for Vegas?
No. It's one of the corridor's reliably expensive weeks — in today's pull nonstops jump to $228–247 for Nov 24–30. If family timing forces it, book as early as possible and treat anything under $250 round trip as acceptable, not good.
What about F1 week?
The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix runs the week of Saturday, November 21. Airfare into race week is already showing no cheap nonstop inventory, and hotels spike harder than flights. Either book months ahead at the premium or skip it — there's no budget version of race week.
How much does the whole getaway cost?
Rule of thumb from our tracking: flights (round trip, nonstop, routine week) plus three hotel nights plus resort fees lands most mid-tier Strip trips in the $600–900 range for two people sharing, less if you shift midweek or stay downtown. Our full budget breakdown has the tier-by-tier math.
When does this page update?
Weekly, in place, on this same URL — the tables get refreshed and the visible date bumped. Deals older than 60 days get archived rather than left to rot. Nothing here is sponsored placement: the feed decides what's cheap, not a partner.
